master Jasson

As most part of the Brazilian artisans, Jasson is an autodidact. His experience with wood comes from a lifetime creating tools and useful objects to deal with life in the Sertão of Alagoas, where he was born and grew up near the riverbanks of the San Francisco river, in Belo Monte. His work, however, gives us a world of dreams and lightness. In his creative process, ideas come at every moment, and even late at night it is possible to find him the workshop, as even his dreams bring him images to bring to life with his skilled hands in wood sculpting. His pieces were already exposed in important national fairs, big galleries in Brazil and also exhibitions abroad. Jasson dreams with the idea of his work reaching more people and inspiring other artists that, just like him, fight to get out of anonymity and be able to live out of the profits of his art.
