Fábio Ramos

Fábio Ramos was born in 1979, in the city of Arco Verde, state of Pernambuco, and since he was a child he has been creative in his drawings.

In 2007 he took up crafts as a profession, encouraged by master Zé Bezerra with whom he worked in his studio.

The following year, he opened his own studio, working with wood collected from the caatinga and observing its natural forms, from there sculpting what the wood already hinted at: an animal, or a plant, for example.

His way of polishing wood is very particular and distinguishes him. At the age of 35, he became a master (2014) and over time, he has participated in several exhibitions throughout Brazil.

Fábio is able to sculpt pieces of various sizes from 1cm to 2,5m. He uses umburana and jackfruit wood, trees native to the region.
