Author Sil from the state of Alagoas. Maria Luciene da Silva Siqueira, known as Sil, was a former sugar cane cutter and today has become one of the most expressive popular artists in Brazil. Faced with the need to reinvent herself, Sil participated in several SEBRAE workshops until she finally found clay and Mestre João das Alagoas. Over the years, Sil has imprinted her own style on her work. Her life experience and the customs of her people are transmitted to the pieces with an impressive realism and care.
