Antônio Rodrigues

Antônio Rodrigues was born in 1951 in Caruaru, Pernambuco, and learned the craft of ceramics from his father, Zé Caboclo (1921).

Since childhood, he has breathed the handicrafts of this arts center that is already known worldwide.

He brings with him the first lessons of figurative ceramics since childhood, but at the same time he developed his own style. He is known as one of the great Brazilian national artists, traveling the country exhibiting his work at fairs and exhibitions of handicrafts and popular art.
